You generate your own unique styled patterns, cut and sew your own uppers. You shape your creation over the last, attach the sole and heel, and detail your dream shoes.
This course is taught in our modern, fully-equipped shoemaking workshop — not in a hotel room, not on the road, not with precut leather and components. We teach shoemaking!

Fashion Shoemaking – Advanced Skills
This 13-day comprehensive fashion shoemaking course is an exploration of creativity, style, and professional techniques to create glamorous, high heel fashion shoes or sandals for those serious about fashion shoemaking or headed for a shoe design or fashion career.
Professional techniques covered include measuring, fitting up (altering) the last, foots dynamics, advanced pattern making, advanced soling techniques, precise sewing, unique finishing techniques, reinforcing, embellishment techniques, materials selection, creative shoe design and more.
Fashion Boots
Learn the skills professionals use to make high quality custom made boots.
The rules for Fashion Boots are simple: high heels a must, platforms welcome, wild and crazy leathers, materials, and trimmings preferred (you wont believe what is available), no boot lower than knee high — higher is encouraged — and zippered entrance. Above all, you must have a love of sexy footwear and a sense of humor!
A generous materials allowance is included in the tuition and we are happy to order, or help you order, unique materials as well as special trimmings to enhance your bootmaking adventure.
Men’s Dress Shoes
The Mens Dress Shoes workshop guides you through every stage in the process of hand making a pair of classic men’s oxfords from pattern generation to polishing in just six days. Fundamentals that can be applied to many styles of footwear are emphasized. Premium French calf is used in both courses and the results are stunning.
Hiking Boots for Everyone
Learn the professionals skills and techniques used to make high quality custom hiking boots for men and women.
All aspects of construction, leather choice, padding, sole types, and sewing, are covered.
Moccasins
In this course, you will learn to make moccasins and simple shoes. Easy construction means you will have ample opportunity to indulge your creativity, sense of color and design.
Because moccasins can be made without heavy shoemaking equipment, you will be able to continue making these colorful handmade shoes once you return home.
